Lumber

Industry leaders know the critical role rail plays in the lumber supply chain. Because of our superior equipment and service, BNSF plays a major role in the transportation of lumber in the Western United States. We are the only North American railroad with direct access to the lumber producing areas of the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada.

With unrivaled access to major metropolitan areas across North America, we can help our customers access major Northeastern and Southeastern markets as well.

Browse the tabs below for more details on shipping lumber with BNSF.

Because of our public pricing our business provides a level of transparency not available with other modes of transportation. By creating a level playing field in the marketplace, we offer a price that is commensurate with the value we provide and is often a better value proposition than alternative modes and providers of transportation.
